First class treatment and an amazing doctor. His friendly approach made it easier for me to interact with him at a difficult time. He communicated well to me and my family while under his care and his personal visit before my operation made me feel at ease. He explained my treatment plan and procedures well and afforded us time to answer our questions. I could not have hoped for a better doctor. Thank you Doctor Cahill.

After having an initial consultation with Declan mid September I found him to be professional and very friendly who took time to explain my condition and put me at ease regarding the operation I required. I had robotic surgery on the 3rd October 2023 which was successful.Many thanks to Declan and his team who have been very supportive throughout. I can’t recommend them enough.

I feel very lucky and privilaged to have been given Declan Cahill as my surgeon/consultant at the Royal Marsden. Declan is very approachable, friendly and explains everything in a down to earth way, with a sense of humour. Prior to my admission I met Declan who considered me an ideal patient for surgery. He wasn't pushy and pointed me in the right direction to research which route I was to take. - radiotherapy or surgery. I'm so glad I took his advice and chose surgery. On the day of the surgery he took the trouble to chat to me on a couple of occasions and his optimism for a good outcomae put me at ease. We met again a couple of times after the operation and each time he was his usual informative and positive self. I had a setback soon after returning home and he phoned me to enquire how I was and to see what he could do to help. I would finally like to take this opportunity to thank Declan and his team for looking after me so well and performing a delicate operation which turned out to be 100% successful.

Mr Cahill's team carried out a robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy on me at the Royal Marsden Hospital. I had prostate cancer (Gleason 3+4, T2/T3.) The operation went according to plan and at my 8-week follow-up I was cancer-free. I am extremely happy with the whole process and feel as though I hit the jackpot in being dealt with by his team. Let me explain why.. Throughout it was apparent that Mr Cahill is a lot more than an excellent surgeon. His attention to detail and to improving the patient outcomes is extraordinary. His desire to continuously improve really impressed me. For example, I am a type 1 diabetic and we discussed at length how to manage my blood glucose levels through the procedure and later how to improve the process for future prostatectomy patients with diabetes. Mr Cahill is incredibly outcome focussed and I cannot imagine a better Consultant to deal with a cancerous prostate anywhere in the world! He's the best!

Declan Cahill was amazing from the moment I met him,his emotional intelligence, vast knowledge of the his subject, and his attention to detail were fantastic. Declan spent time explaining every part of the Robotic assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy,which put me totally at ease. The day before surgery he phoned me [Sunday] to give me reassurance,which he did! On the Monday,he came to see me prior to surgery,I walked down to the Theatre and met the rest of his Team,who were outstanding. I was in The Royal Marsden Chelsea for one night and l was looked after very well. On leaving I was given all my post operation procedures and medication,you could not ask for more. A very big thank you to Declan and his Team.

Declan Cahill is clearly an expert in his subject. He also has an engaging manner and communicates very clearly. He was highly responsive when approached about my case, then arranging a procedure and in his follow up.

I'm not sure I can find the words here that will capture my gratitude and thanks to Mr Cahill and his support team at Marsden, especially Angela. Nothing short of world class and outstanding. I felt like a VIP at every interaction that I had, in person, by email and by telephone. Mr Cahill's outstanding clinical record speaks for itself, but what the statistics won't show is his compassion, care, thoughtfulness, overall professionalism and a cheeky sense of humour It's always darkest before the dawn, and that is certainly how I felt before my surgery on a Sunday morning. Yet, unexpectedly my mobile phone rang with a number I didn't recognise. Mr Cahill called me to assure me and put my mind at rest. That one call exemplifies how he always seems to go the extra mile. My recovery post surgery has been better than I ever could have expected. I consider myself blessed to have been under the clinical and emotional care of Mr Cahill, his support team and everyone at Marsden - thank you everyone
