SixLetter Coffee Co.
The six letters are for C O F F E E. For me, these six letters also mean:
- Coffee
- Oooooh, give me more 😉
- Flavourful breakfast & brunch
- Flat white
- Experience
- Elegant interior
Yep, you’ll experience tasty specialty coffee, even unique ones like Cold brew gin tonic and Specialty espresso martini.
And you can enjoy all these in impressive bright spaces, where brick, copper, concrete, wood and textile are in perfect harmony. Motorbike lovers can also find something decorative there 😉
Tables are also located in front of the café, or you can just sit on the window sill to sip your coffee.
If it’s breakfast & brunch time, you should also check out their menu. They offer pastries, avocado toast, egg dishes as well as healthier options like muesli, granola and salad. For brunch photos, check out my other post called Budapest’s best breakfast & brunch places close to the Parliament.

Bon Dia – Soft Serve
Bon Dia is the neighbour and part of the family of My little Melbourne. So the coffee is just as tasty as next door. The interior is just as chic, but with fewer wooden surfaces and more concrete. The concrete blocks, visible cabling, black shelves and missing plaster provide an industrial vibe. However, the carpet, the pink surfboard and the fun accessories give a cosy mood to the interior.
Besides coffee, tasty ice cream is served in many flavours. During winter, you can also try out their hot chocolate.

nor/ma
Nor/ma is a Nordic style bakery and coffee shop, so you’ll get tasty and fresh pastries and specialty coffee in one place. The bakery is part of the coffee shop (or the coffee shop is part of the bakery, you can decide… 😉 ), so you can see how the pastries are being prepared. And it smells like bread all the time, so goooood 🙂
There aren’t actual tables, but you can enjoy your pretty pastry and coffee at the stylish bar. During warmer weather, you can have a seat outside.
The friendly baristas and bakers serve your orders in chic ceramics made by AOOMI. It’s even more pleasant to drink from stylish cups.

The Nook Specialty Coffeeshop
The Nook is located a bit further from the city centre. However, its tasty coffee and yellow design are totally worth visiting. Its industrial interior is dressed into yellow, concrete, wooden and white surfaces. There’s a place for hanging chairs, coffee accessories, a dominant coffee bar, elevated coffee tables and a co-working area. Digital nomads are also welcomed 😉
This stylish specialty coffee shop is situated next to a university, so it might be busy between classes. It also has an outdoor area, so you can enjoy your coffee (cake and pastries) in the yard under the shaders.

- Flat white – 850 HUF

Bányai By Beans Coffee
By Beans Coffee shop is located on the ground floor of Fény Street Market, though it’s easier to approach it from the nearby streets. You’ll find small tables and seats outside. But, of course, you can also drink your coffee inside, accompanied by juices, cakes and pastries.
Super tasty coffee is brewed by friendly baristas, and you can also buy coffee beans. A worldwide coffee bean selection covers a whole wall, including coffee beans from their own Hungarian roastery, Lucky Cap Roastery. Coffee machines and other accessories are available as well. If you follow me on Instagram, I’m sure you’ve seen my Fellow Carter Everywhere Mug. I’ve purchased it here 🙂

4minutes Café (4 perc és kávé)
Budapest is the home of several specialty cafés. For a long time, the Buda Castle area didn’t have any. Fortunately, this changed thanks to 4minutes café 🙂 This is the place if you need a coffee after visiting Fishermen’s bastion!
This cute little coffee shop is hidden in Országház street, not far from Matthias Church. The super-stylish interior is decorated with wooden, brass and white surfaces. Every detail of the café is well designed, even the books and ceramics. The unique mugs and plates are designed for 4minutes Café. It’s a pleasure to drink from them, and they are also available for sale. Besides delicious coffee, ice cream, cold-pressed juices and teas, including matcha, are also on the menu.

Caphe by Hai Nam
Caphe is situated on my favourite street of Buda, Bartók Béla street, where you can find many cool coffee shops, bakeries, bars and bistros. Its interior is so simple, elegantly beautiful with neutral tones, spiced with mirrors, plants and other home decoration.
Besides new wave coffee, their speciality is Pin Vietnamese coffee, which you can enjoy with classic bánh mi, Vietnamese sandwiches. During the weekend, an all-day brunch menu is also available.
Prices:
- Flat white – 800 HUF
