Fekete

Fekete means black, so you can have good quality black coffee as well as other shades. Every shade and type of coffee is super tasty here. A basic cappuccino or flat white is just as wonderful as the special ones like espresso tonic or cold brew. They also offer delicious cakes and breakfast options.

The coffee shop can be reached from a courtyard, where seats are waiting for you to enjoy your chosen drink in the warm season. During winter, the cosy indoor area is there for you, just order at the bar and take a seat.

Fekete can be crowded at the weekends, especially in the morning, but it’s worth waiting!

In the minimal space of Kontakt, you’ll get delicious coffee! They sell real coffee for real coffee lovers. If you want to order Americano, don’t go there. And don’t ask for sugar, specialty coffee doesn’t need sugar.

Budapest’s first specialty coffee shop was established in 2012, and it’s still one of the bests!!! Yep, I’m talking about My Little Melbourne!

The baristas will prepare you super tasty filter coffee, also special ones like espresso tonic or cold brew. Cold brew is available also for takeaway. You can enjoy your coffee upstairs and downstairs, surrounded by wooden surfaces, simple interior design and design products. Or take a seat outside and have fun with the other coffee lovers.

If you need more energy, pastries, croissants, cakes, and juices are also on the menu 🙂

London Coffee Society

London Coffee Society is located in a narrow street in the centre, just look for the big coffee signboard. The place isn’t so big, if it looks full from outside, just go in because it has a small gallery so there might be some free places.

Order at the bar and the friendly and professional staff will bring your delicious coffee to the table. I highly recommend checking the breakfast menu, which is full of avocados and other options. Check my previous post for the best avocado toasts.

Don’t forget to look at the tasty pastry and the healthy chia puddings selection and the other menu with super tasty avocado toast.

Kelet Café

Kelet Café is the only one in this post from the Buda side. Relax, Buda also has other great coffee shops. I choose this one because of its cosy living room mood and the coffee, of course.

Inside the coffee shop, the shelves on the wall are full of books, so you might have that feeling like you’re in a library or at home (if you have a room full of books…).

Order your coffee (and breakfast, cakes or something else from the menu) at your table, and at the end pay at the bar.

Price:

  • Cappuccino – 650 HUF

Address: 1115 Budapest, Bartók Béla str. 29.
