Dr Daniel Kaitiff is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who works with his clients for better outcomes. He has worked in a number of areas within his specialty including General Adult, Older adult, liaison Psychiatry and forensics. He works in the North West, Manchester and also teleconferencing for London clients. Dr Kaitiff is very much aware of the difficulty patients have with accepting they have a mental health condition and then seeking support. His approach is to work with clients to explore the different options so that they can regain their lifestyle.
Dr Kaitiff completed his medical degree at the University of Liverpool in 2002 and then trained at CNWL/Imperial University London. He is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatry and is section 12 approved. Further to this he previously has experience of working in Research within phase 1 and 2 clinical trials and is currently investigating new pathways for the treatment of autism and addictions.
Dr Kaitiff has over 15 years' experience as a General and Older Adult Psychiatrist. He is an excellent facilitator of information, assessment and diagnosis, and offers a range of treatment options for his patients, including both pharmaceutical and therapeutic support.
Dr Kaitiff offers assessment, treatment and medication reviews for all his patients as required, and has developed his training in a range of therapeutic treatments; Systematic Family Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Knowledge & Understanding Framework for Personality Disorders.
Dr Kaitiff is an advocate for the understanding of mental health, believing medical conditions are often long-lasting, and the goal of successful treatment is for an individual to be autonomous throughout their life and not require considerable health input.
Dr Kaitiff has treated complex cases in a varied number of mental health areas and believes there is a positive solution for all patients. I am a 50 year old male and have experienced a number ofepisodes of deep depression over the last thirty years. Most have only last a few months, though this recent one has gone on for two years. I had seen two psychiatrists in the country where I live and work (Germany) and, after little success, had all but given up on finding the help I longed for. I returned to the UK prior to Christmas to stay with family. They made the appointment to see Dr Kaitiff, they drove me to the appointment. I was not in a good way. Dr Kaitiff and I discussed my history, my medication, and we agreed upon a change to the medication. I found Dr Kaitiff to be extremely professional, intelligent and decisive. We arranged to meet a fortnight later. During that time, something happened. I began to feel human again, normal, for the first time in two years. I put this down to the change in meds. It's now been a few weeks since I last saw Dr Kaitiff a second time and I am still going strong, stable and well, enjoying life as I once did. Dr Kaitiff and I will keep in touch. It gives me reassurance to know that he is there, should I need his services again. If you are looking for a psychiatrist, then I would strongly recommend Dr Kaitiff to you.

He is the kind of doctor that actually listens to you. It can be hard talk to doctors about your mental health but Dr Kaitiff creates a space where you feel comfortable in sharing. 100% would recommend!

I took my 17 year old son to meet Dr Kaitiff. He has been suffering with extreme anxiety for many years that has affected all areas of his life. My son was very nervous ahead of the meeting and unsure as to what to expect however Dr Kaitiff managed to make the experience feel relaxed yet professional and informative at the same time. For the first time in a long time my son and I feel hopeful and positive. I would absolutely recommend Dr Kaitiff for his obvious compassion, care and knowledge.
